Tour highlights include: A visit to Murchison Falls National Park and the Murchsion Falls. Experience Kabarole and enjoy this delightful scenic area called "The Best in the West". Here you'll enjoy spectacular views of the Rwenzori Mountains, the legendary "Mountains of the Moon". You'll trek in the Kibale Forest National Park - an outstanding tropical rainforest environment, you'll see sensationally beautiful crater lakes, Semuliki NP the "Garden of Eden", QENP as you marvel at the magnificent kindness and hospitality that you'll be offered - everywhere!
Day one:
On arrival at the Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide from Breeze Travel & Safaris LTD then transfer you to white Castle Hotel F/B.
Day two:
After breakfast and a briefing from the General Manager, you will set off for Murchison Falls- the land of Hippos and Crocs, via a good game trail arriving at or Red Chilli Rest Camp in the afternoon. Go for an evening boat trip to view the Hippos and Crocs and they enjoy the sun downer returning to the lodge in the evening for dinner. Dinner and over night at Paraa Safari lodge, Sambiya River Lodge or Red Chilli Rest Camp.
Day three
After breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive returning to the lodge in time for a heartily lunch. In the afternoon, go for a boat trip to the foot of Murchison Falls where the Nile thunders through a small 7-meter gap. This is an experience not to be missed! The banks of the Nile are home to many species. Spend the afternoon viewing huge Nile Crocodiles, big Pods of Hippos and other wildlife that may come down to drink from the river, take a boat trip down river to the delta where the Nile empties into Lake Albert Dinner and over night at Paraa Safari lodge, Sambiya River Lodge or Red Chilli Rest Camp.
Day four:
After breakfast, drive to Kibale National park and over night at Ndali lodge or Rwenzori View Guest house.
Day five:
After a good breakfast, you are off to Kibale Forest National Park with its families of habituated Chimpanzees - its home to an astonishing 12 species of Primate and provides on of the highest Primates densities in the world! With lunch enroute you will take on a guided walk, you may find families of Chimps and Red Colobus monkeys.
Later you will have the opportunity of a guided walk through Bigodi Swamp. Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is managed by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental organisation formed in 1992 with the aim of achieving social and economic development for local communities. You will be taken on a guided walk around the swamp, which is home to approximately 137 bird species including the Snowy Headed Robin Cat, Black and White Casqued Hornbill, Emerald Cuckoo and a variety of Weavers, Warblers, Greenbuls and Sunbirds. There's also an abundance of Butterflies. It's also rich in vegetation, such as wild palms, polita figs and the dominant papyrus. Dinner and overnight at Kanyanchu Visitor’s Centre.
Day six:
After an early breakfast, you'll leave for Fort portal to visit the Kings Royal tombs and various cultural groups including the Burungu community, which is rooted in Traditional Toro culture that will entertain you with music, dancing and story telling. Spend the whole day with the local community and on village walks/tours returning to the lodge in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Rwenzori View Guest House.
Day seven:
An early departure - but well worth it! You are on your way to Semliki Valley. This valley is known as the "Garden of Eden" and has a magnificent view of the River Semliki meandering to Lake Albert. You will stop to visit a local farmer and have a tour of his farm then take a picnic lunch at the hot water springs. (You can easily boil an Egg in springs). Lunch enroute.
Spend the evening on a forest walk in the tropical Rain Forest of the Semliki Wildlife Valley reserve. Dinner and over night at either Semliki safari lodge or Camping.
Day eight:
After breakfast, you'll experience a day of real discovery. You'll visit a local community in the foothills of the Rwenzoris - the inhabitants are looking forward to welcoming and entertaining you. After touring the area, you'll visit the local Witch Doctor at his home, take a long lunch at the Kamugha Rest House and enjoy entertainment provided by the Bakonjo and Batoro (if available), before visiting the local women's group creating artifacts to provide for the community. Dinner and overnight at Rwenzori View Guest House F/B.
Day nine:
After breakfast proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park having a game drive while entering the park arriving at Mweya lodge in the afternoon. Relax around the pool after lunch and later go for an early evening game drive.
Its little wonder that Queen Elizabeth boasts one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any game park or reserve in the world, - from the open Savannah to Rain Forest, dense Papyrus Swamps and brooding Crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward.
Almost 100 mammal species that include Lions, Hippos, Buffaloes, Leopard, Spotted Hyena, Elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog plus remarkable 606 bird species that include the Black Chested Eagle, the Swallow Tailed Bee Eaters, to mention but a few.
All these are regularly sighted around the tourist village on the Mweya Peninsula and all this makes a superb safari territory. Dinner and over night at Mweya Safari Lodge or the Institute of Ecology.
Day ten:
After breakfast take on a private boat trip along Kazinga Channel viewing Crocodiles and Hippos that huff and spray mere feet away from the boat as well as a variety of birds.
Return to the lodge in the afternoon and later go for an evening game drive if desired. Dinner and over night at Mweya Safari Lodge or the Institute of Ecology.
Day eleven:
After breakfast spread your legs further to Kyambura gorge to visit the mighty river of Kyambura and the deep rain forest of about 100metres deep. You will then head for Kampala having a stop over in Mbarara for lunch.Continue to Mpigi district to look at the Royal Drum makers, stand on the Equator and be in both hemispheres at once and thereafter to the Camps Crocs project in Buwama where you will have your lunch while viewing Crocodiles at the same time. This is a crocodile-breeding project that is run by the local community, that client's visit from time to time to learn about their behavior and history. Later proceed to Kampala and over night at your hotel F/B.
Day twelve:
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your hotel and drive you to Jinja. You will have a stop over at the Biblical site (Namugongo Martyrs shrine), Ssezibwa falls and if possible we will also have a quick stop at Mabira forest for those who love bird watching. It will take you about 3 hours to get to the Source of the Nile due to the various stops. Explore the Nile and later drive up to Jinja Nile resort hotel for a hearty buffet lunch.
Relax at the hotel and have a quick swim if desired, before driving to the Spectacular Bujagali Falls. With the biggest rafts on the river, you will see how those who are rafting are able to safely conquer the most challenging rapids, watch the local fishermen and the fantastic bird life. We may later go for a brief tour around Jinja town to have a look at those old beautiful colonial buildings and Jinja market. In the evening, we depart for Kampala arriving in the late evening. Transfer back to your hotel for the over night. Over night and dinner at White Castle Hotel.
Day thirteen:
This morning, your guide will meet you at the hotel around 7 00am and drive through Uganda's capital city Kampala, Go and visit the Kasubi tombs, the king's palace, the museum, the kings man made lake. Afternoon Shopping. Over night at White Castle Hotel F/B.
Day fourteen:
After breakfast finalize on shopping afternoon precede to Entebbe visit the Wild life Educational Center before transferring to the airport to catch your flight back home. End of safari with Breeze Travel and Safaris ltd Bon voyage!
