Day one:
Arrive at Entebbe Airport late evening where you will be met and greeted by our tour representative. Refreshments at the restraunt and then transfer to Kampala where you will have your dinner and overnight at New Castle Hotel and for upgrade consider Hotel Africana.
Day two:
After an early morning breakfast set off for Kibale Forest national park the home of Chimpanzees. This is found in the Southwestern districts of Kibale and Kamwenge and Mubende districts. This takes about 5hours.You will have a stopover at Mityana for lunch. Then continue in the afternoon where you will have a chance to view the beautiful scenery of the area. Arrive late this evening at Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at Kanyanchu Community Camps and Bandas for budget accommodation and Mantana tented Camp for Luxury Accommodation.
Day three:
Early morning breakfast at Kanyanchu Community Camps and Bandas.Take a chimp trek within Kibale forest where you will come across man’s closest primates. While on the trek you expect to experience the chimps de-nesting (coming out of nests) and you can then follow them up in their daily activities up to nesting Come back for lunch and in the afternoon transfer to Queen Elizabeth national Park. You will pass through Fortpotal town and then drive through Kasese arriving this evening at Institute of Ecology hostel ad for upgrade consider Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day four: After breakfast we stretch our legs to go and visit Kyambura wildlife Reserve which contains 3 saline caters lakes which attract a number of flamingos not found anywhere in Uganda. The steep Kyambura Gorge formed by the turbulent waters of the roaring Kyambura River provides a lush riverine forest, home to chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons and other primates as well as a plenty of forest birds. A guided nature walk takes you into the gorge, which is very deep covered by a natural rain forest. Lunch enroute. We then set off for Bwindi National park via the hills of Kabale arriving late this evening for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community bandas. For upgrade consider Buhoma Homestead.
Day five:
An early morning breakfast at Buhoma Community Bandas and then be briefed by the Ranger at Bwindi about the day’s activity of Gorilla Tracking. This activity takes more than 5hours so you will carry packed lunch with you. This is a very interesting activity but expect to walk very long distances in muddy places and more so the weather conditions may not be all that friendly as this is a natural rainforest where it can rain anytime of the day. So please be informed of this. As you trek in the jungle forest you will be able to see a variety of Gorilla species, as Bwindi is a home to over 326 Gorillas. Alongside that you will come across other species of birds and butterflies. Come back late in the evening for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community bandas.
Day six:
An early morning breakfast at Buhoma Community Bandas and then set off for Kampala. This is a long distance journey, which takes over 8 hours so you are likely to spend the whole day traveling. You will travel through the top-bottomed andulating hills, which is commonly known as the “Little Switzerland of Uganda”. Arrive in Mbarara late afternoon for your lunch and continue via the flat area of Ankole.On reaching Mpigi district before you enter Kampala we shall have a stop over at Mpambire Drum Village where you will buy some crafts for your loved ones back home. Arrive in Kampala late this evening for you dinner and overnight at White Castle hotel. For upgrade you may opt for hotel Africana.
Day seven:
Early morning breakfast at the hotel and then a visit Ngamba Island on lake Victoria where you have another chance to interact with these amazing primates (the chimpanzees $65 per person). Get to know more about their behaviors through interaction with them and the rangers. Hope you will be amazed. Catch the boat early enough back from the island for a mouth watering lunch at the zoo (Uganda Wildlife Education center).You will then get to interact with the wildlife in captivity in the afternoon as you relax. Leave the center late in the evening and relax at the Botanical beach hotel where you will have your dinner and overnight.
Day eight:
You will have your breakfast at leisure depending on the time of your flight. Do some shopping in Entebbe and then the company representative will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight and then wished a safe journey back home.
