8 am: Departure - Kasubi Tombs
After breakfast you will be picked from Hotel Africana/New Castle hotel after Breakfast and then be briefed by the guide about the day’s activities, then set off for Kasubi Tombs. It’s about 5kms from Kampala on Hoima Road left turn 1km after Nakulabye rounabout. The Kasubi Tombs is a huge dome-like structure that houses the remains of four former Buganda kings: Mutesa 1,Mwanga 2,Daudi Chwa 2,and Edward Mutesa 2.Constructed in a traditional fashion with thatch poles and reeds, the structure houses a variety of artic rafts that belonged to the kings. The descendants of the kings’wives look after the site. You will get more information during your visit.

10 am: Uganda Museum
After the breath-taking tour at kasubi tombs set off to the Uganda museum a unique collection of ethnological exhibits covering hunting, Agriculture, war, religion.withcraft and natural history, as well as a great collection of tradional musical instruments from all over the continent. This is found on Kiira Road in Kamwokya.The same building houses The Uganda society and their library with a wide range of books on Uganda’s history and culture.

11.30 am: Bahai Temple
We will then stretch our legs further to Kikaaya off Bukoto Road for the Bahai Temple. This is the only temple of this religious sect found in Africa. Work on it began in May 1957and it was opened to the public in January 1961.From its compound you have a superb panoramic view of Kampala and the sorrounding countryside. Am sure you will have quite a lot of fun while there. From here you will break off for your lunch.

2 pm: Martyrs' Shrine - Namugongo
We then get out of kampala district and explore more out of town into Wakiso district. Left turn off Jinja Road at Kireka to Namugongo martyrs’ shrine. This is a spot where in 1886more than 20 newly converted Christians were burnt alive following the command of the Kabaka Mwanga 2 after refusing to renounce the white man’s religion. Majority of the martyrs were kabaka’s pages, and were sent to death for his fear of losing the throne. More went on this way in Uganda due to religion and so 3rd June every year these martyrs are celebrated. Apart from all this information, you will also enjoy the beautiful gardens around and a cool breeze. This will take you to late evening where our company will drop you at the Airport in time for your flight representative and wished a safe flight back home.
